Hopkins Miscast as Coleman

This was an interesting film with one huge exception, the casting of a fair-haired, blue-eyed Welshman in the role of a light-skinned, black man from New Jersey. The actor who played young Coleman had very dark, curly hair and dark eyes and looked NOTHING like Anthony Hopkins. I'm sure the producers could have found an elderly actor (black or white) who could pass as an older Coleman. This strange casting ruined the movie for me as I couldn't suspend my disbelief to that extent. I know Hopkins was successful by that point and is undoubtedly a very fine actor, but in this he was badly miscast.
