So Abdullah stole the radio?

he packs a radio in his suitcase. i assumed it was the buried radio that the leads never found.

then i saw the scene toward the end with the kid looking at a book of sketches and it looked similar to the book the mother puts in the suitcase - so did they trade? or did he also steal?

he's watching the older kid leave across the dunes at the credits, right? so, although he's stronger and more brave (though younger), abdullah did get up the nerve to climb over the dune. or is that someone else.
