DVD Release

I would very much like to see a DVD release of this film. Since interest in the show has grown - the new CGI film being released, a documentary on the show for the BBC, and it's ranking in a UK poll on the top 100 animations - I think it's only fitting that this film gets the DVD treatment.

I own the video release, by Channel 5 video, and the quality is dreadful - lines, scratches, blurring etc. A re-mastered DVD would be lovely. What's sad is that the new film will get a big DVD release first - although it was a nice film - it fails to be as witty as the original, and not as dark and as adult as DatBC.

at last! someone else has seen this film. the second sight television video is ok quality. i saw the cgi film yesterday its a hollow film with none of the magic of datbc-and doesnt even feature the theme song!

I've got it on video. I love it! Would definitely like to see it on DVD.

A DVD release would be wonderful. I've worn out my channel 5 tape - and now have another. I'm thinking of converting it to an AVI file just so I don't wear out my 2nd tape. COME ON!!! MAKE THE DVD!!!!! Your audience (and market!) awaits...

Why is Duck Tape like The Force?

i'd very much like to see a dvd release also.

It depends on who currently holds the home video rights. The CGI movie has been and gone. As that was the best tie-in opportunity likely to arise, I'd be surprised if 'Blue Cat' now makes it to DVD. Pity, as it's a pretty good movie, as I recall.

According to film critic Mark Kermode's latest Blog entry* it is currently being remastered for a DVD release He mentions this about two minutes and ten seconds into the video.
