It was creepy is all. I guess it did what it was supposed to do and that's scare the crap out of people with creepy imagery.

I loved it- saw it for the first time, in the dark, alone in my house and was peeking through my fingers for quite a bit of the time!
I think a lot of it was down to the atmosphere- as well as the anticipation of something dreadful about to occur: the ending blew my mind and I've loved the film ever since!
I think if I saw it for the first time now, I'd be more cynical and would probably guess what was going on once the dad fell asleep at the wheel but only because there are similar films out there.
Yeah, I loved it too...still do! Have seen it several times, even bought the DVD.
The atmosphere was definitely done well on this film. I am a sucker for great atmosphere...the creepier, the better! I've been around awhile and have seen a lot of horror, so I really depend on good atmosphere to creep me out.

I don't get creeped out easily by horror films. But I must say, this movie had some really spooky moments...followed by very funny moments. Definitely an interesting and unforgettable horror film.
