It's weird how she was just in the middle of her spiral downwards into becoming a media pariah when she quietly filmed her role in this without any big disturbances of the sort that she later became known for. And her performance was pretty good for all the screen time she got. It's just a shame that this was the last time she'd be able to put more attention on her performance in front of the camera as opposed to the one behind it...

I totally agree with you! This is the very last film that I remembered her being lovely in. She almost reminded me of a young Demi Moore in this film, and I absolutely loved the lavender dress she wore throughout the film, as well as the chemistry between her and Elijah :)

Her acting and screen presence at the time reminds me very much of Emma Stone in The Help for instance or other stuff. If she had played her cards right, laid off the drugs, alcohol, plastic surgery and scandals, she could have had the same rather respectable career. No? You guys see the similarity or should i lay off the drugs too?
