The director's cut is complete garbage

Finally got around to seeing it the other night and what a load of crap.

To begin with they cut out the opening narration. Such a perfectly blackly hilarious piece of voiceover. Meaning there's nothing to laugh about until Willie pukes outside the bar.

Then it abruptly cut out random parts like the "You people" scene or the scene where he teaches the kid to fight.

I get that Zwigoff claims he wanted it to be a "deeper" movie but just how deep does a movie with jokes about boning fat chicks, pissing yourself on the job or bullying kids need to be.

Ignore if you haven't seen it. The "Badder Santa" cut is my favourite; glad the blu-ray has both instead of limiting it to the DC, though I'd have preferred if it had the theatrical cut on it with the Badder cut.

Exactly. After seeing trailer and short version I looked for longer version and it is so much better. Ending was lot better too, Thurman kicking blond bully boys balls and flipping instead of washing off blood stain on driveway.

Yeah..I just downloaded (i.e., bought) the movie on Amazon (being fairly old, it was single digit bucks!), having seen it back in 2003/04 in its original release in theaters, have the DVD, and remembered Thurman (the kid) and Bad Santa going over candy, which came right after the bloody finger, if I recall, cut out from the Directors cut..:( Still pretty good.Lauren Graham as Sue was HOT!

ALSO: (4/10/18) the FINAL scene with Thurman kicking the bullies in the privates at the same time was LEFT OUT!

EDIT:UPDATE I got the TRUE cinema version! (A version on YouTube has the characvters in clips behind the actors..BIlly Bob Thornton when Bad Santa appears..Lauren Graham's name when the bartender (Sue) a;ppears, Brett Edward Kelley (The Kid0,and so on.
