Unfortunately this film is not commercially available from a DVD shop in the Western world at the time of this writing. A quality DVD is available from an Australian university, but it is very expensive.
You can buy the VCD from many Asian websites, but the film may not have English subtitles. The online shop http://indonesianmusic.com/ has the VCD and you could enquire if the version they sell has subtitles in English or your preferred language. Incidentally they also sell the CD soundtrack of the movie, featuring the songs and music of Melly Goeslaw and Anton Hoed, and they sell the CD Ketika by Pas band, who are actually featured in the movie for the live rock concert scene and get played on the car stereo in another scene. One thing to note is that the official soundtrack does not have the songs in the film by Pas. If you want those songs, then you must buy the Pas band's own CD called Ketika.
For best video and sound quality, you can buy an English subtitled DVD from Monash University in Victoria Australia. To quote the University's Asian Studies Department, "Our version of Ada Apa Dengan Cinta? has new, revised English subtitles, especially prepared in view of the demand for this film for use in high schools and universities teaching the Indonesian language and Asian Studies. The DVD is issued with a Study Guide included as a pdf file on the DVD." To buy the DVD just click on the "order" tab near the top of the page. However, check out the price before you order. At last look it was $110 for private individuals. So if you want to check out this DVD, here is the link : http://arts.monash.edu.au/mai/films/cinta.html
