Did anybody else dislike the music?

Maybe it was my mood, but I didn't think some of the music fit the scenes very well. I haven't minded this composer's work before, but somehow it didn't quite work for me this time.

There's a very concrete reason why the score is like that. Especially in the opening credits, alot of symbolism along with the rest of the film

I agree - I don't care if the music was meant to be symbolic, it was overpowering and at times, downright incongruent and ridiculous. It had no place in a film which was probably too long by a third, with very little substance. It was as if the music was being crudely used to compensate for the film's self-indulgence and utter insipidness.

Very melodramatic music.

reply

No, actually. The music is one of many amazing things about this film. It fits perfectly.

I agree with you PotassiumMan. I think this is a beautiful soundtrack.
