This movie fails miserably...

Finally got a chance to see this movie back in the summer in Seattle. Horrible acting. The writing is stilted at best. Some of the dialogue was so embarrassing I wanted to cover my ears. The plot is hackneyed garbage that only someone with an IQ lower than 50 could enjoy. When I think of how not to make a movie, I will think of Burning Annie. If I had written this script, I would throw away every writing device I owned and resort to reading People Magazine and Readers Digest condensed books in hopes that I could improve on my lack of talent. I've seen fan-fiction with better character development. A total disappointment.

1/10 stars.

Do not see this movie, if you value any shred of intelligence you might have.

What a ridiculous review. Burning Annie was funny, sweet, and smarter than the lunkhead who wrote the above. It may not be Annie Hall, but it's better than a lot of the crap I've seen at the multiplex this year.

Hey Woody Allen called, he wants you to keep his name out of your mouth when discussing this oaty pile of a movie. Burning Annie appeals to you because you're willing to accept something just because it's better than "the crap you've seen at the multiplex" this year.

Getting killed by an arrow is less gruesome than getting killed by a chainsaw. Either way, they both suck and you end up with blood on your shirt. Much like this movie.

Go see more than 5 movies in your lifetime and then come back and tell me this movie was funny, sweet and smart. Go ahead, do it ... with a straight face. I've seen My Space profiles with better writing.

This movie was "sweet"? Calling this film "sweet" is the same thing as eating cotton candy for a year, "extruding" it into the toilet, licking it out of the toilet, and calling it "sweet. "

reply

Agreed. It is an extremely lame movie that tries too hard to be hip and deep and fails on those and many other counts.
