Release this movie on DVD?

I loved this movie...especially Patsy Gallant! I was wondering if anybody has any idea when, or if, this movie will be released on DVD???

Yes, this movie should get distribution in North America. I found that K Films in France had circulated a limited theatrical release in France (and Belgium?) awhile back, and have put out a videotape.

I think if a Region 1 DVD would be stamped out for the North American market, that would be terrific. The film would find a wider audience for the wonderful Patsy Gallant, and its good cast and David Lynch-like ("Twin Peaks" era) atmosphere. YELLOWKNIFE is also beautifully shot across the northern prairie Canadian landscape, and has an alluring narrative intercut with Gallant's diva-done-right vocals.

This northern maple noir film was a great addition to the Vancouver International Film Festival a few years back when I caught this movie. It's unfortunate that it's disappeared so quietly and quickly after its limited run on the festival circuit.

Rodrigue Jean's YELLOWKNIFE has its fans, and all we can do is hope for the best with this overlooked film.

Just got my copy.

Domino Films released it on DVD. Official street date is March 27th, but if you go to the site - www.dominofilm.ca, you can order it. They offer payment via paypal. Just e-mail them [email protected] and they will provide you more information.

Cheers!

Got mine from Domino Films. I loved this movie, too. I hope it finds a broader audience.

The leading man (Huberdeau) and those twins were fine as wine! :)
