Tulse Luper in Britain

Does anyone know if the first part of the Tulse Luper Suitcases is going to be shown in cinemas in Britain, and if so, when? If it is not being released here, is it possible to get hold of it on video, DVD or CD ROM? Does anyone know of a company selling these things? Thanks!

Check out Carlooto's post right under this one - TLS was released on DVD in Spain (region 2, PAL) and I can report it's excellent quality. The film is also quickly becoming a favorite of mine - disorienting initially, but it will grow on you immensely. It also is a film that begs for the kind of examination DVD affords. Enjoy!

The Spanish (Region 2) version of this DVD is currently out of stock, but may be bought from www.xploitedcinema.com. It is being restocked soon. They also carry some other great Region 0 titles by Greenaway including the infamous yet brilliant "Baby of Macon." Check it out.

what about if you live in the United States though. Will this "version" of the Region 2 work for us yanks?
It seems if you get the wrong region, the DVD won't play on your DVD player, ; (

It's unlikely that your player will work with R2 discs. Region free players are common in Europe but are very unusual in the USA. This is probably because there is a much much larger demand from the R2 area for R1 discs than the other way round. I guess it's up to the the US DVD buying public to create the demand.

When I first moved over to the US from the UK last year I went to places like Best Buy, Target and Circuit City and was very surprised about the ignorance of sales staff when I asked about being able to play my R2 discs that I brought over from England. It turned out that no store in the entire city sold region free players. I eventually bought a region free player from 220-electronics and am very happy with it.

I saw all three films at the NFT today.

They're showing consecutively tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday at the same venue. No idea if they're getting a general release after that.

NFT 3 is not huge, and it wasn't full, so tickets are probably stll available.

I used to want to change the world. Now I just want to leave the room with a little dignity.
