...but there were a couple of things that I didn't quite understand. What was in that mysterious red box that Griffith gave to the old lady? And why was the old lady killed?

It was money. that was how she was paid for the coin. she was killed to eliminate any future claims to that coin.

Zachary Quinto is ridiculously sexy! Robert Downey Jr....is pure sex!

the box contained money gift wrapped, for some idiotic reason. there was no reason for the old lady to be killed there was no reason for this movie. one of the all time worst pieces of crap in movie history. All 1:23 of it. Why so short? God only knows what the garbage that landed on the cutting room floor was like, if this was the best of it.
