Jeremy Davies

Is pathetic in this. He's always like this though.

I still remember him from "Spanking the Monkey".

Played basically the same character on "lost".

Son, you can't polish a turd

I think I understand why the original wanted to off the visitor. Wouldn't you after having this space cadet hang around 24/7, not doing much else apart from sprouting the odd half sentence?🐭

I was put off by his character when he initially appeared. But as the film progressed, his dottiness and spaciness made perfect sense. I found the Gordon character annoying with her earthbound "common sense"; she should never have left home!

I loved his character, it made perfect sense that the events at Solaris would leave someone at a total loss of how to cope. And the performance was incredibly good.

I dont get all the hate for this guy. I absolutely love his character in this movie, how odd he is, but it fits so perfectly in this film. And also the, yes, basically same guy he plays on Lost. It also worked pretty well there, maybe not as fitting as in this film, but I enjoyed him there nonetheless. Too bad that this oddball character type is what he basically became typecast as, and after Lost I dont recall seeing him anywhere again.

He was too far out for me. He over did it. I can see why some people would think it fit the character, though.

reply

His portrayal was as a caricature, bad acting. But in the context of this bizarre tale it kinda works.
