What happened to the first Rheya on the station? (Spoilers)

Sorry if this has been asked before and I get that Chris tricked Rheya into going into some sort of escape pod then jettisoned it, and her, but something occurred to me while watching this film for the second time. Eventually, this Rheya will die through lack of oxygen but will then be resurrected, in the same way as the second one was after her 'suicide'. So the first Rheya will come back to life and promptly die again through asphyxiation, then be resurrected and die again and again. It's a pretty horrific fate for her, when you think about it, unless Solaris intervenes and cuts the cycle off.

I watched this movie yesterday, and have been haunted by this thought ever since. Honestly, I can't think of ever seeing anything worse in any movie than the implied fate of the first incarnation of Rheya. She could die/resurrect/instantly die/resurrect/instantly die/resurrect/instantly die/resurrect indefinitely, right? Just hurtling through the vastness of space, experiencing nothing by agony and confusion for all time.

That's horrifying. She wouldn't even understand what was happening to her. Ever. Just pain. Pain forever.

The Pod would eventually run out of fuel or battery and fall back to Solaris.
Solaris will absorb what it created.

Yes, that, or even if the pod continues out into space they explain in the film that its very unlikely the visitor effect can happen far away from the planet surface. Hence they thought they wouldnt be able to bring the visitors back to Earth (but there was a possibility they *might* be able to exist there, as Gordon worried about). I think most likely her manifestation would have disappeared once the pod was far enough away from the planet for the effect to happen.

She'll probably float for millenia until the some phenomena that recreates the subatomic stew Gordon used to "kill" her visitor occurs. Maybe fall into the trajectory of a sun and/or black hole.
