Even the star think its horrible

I haven't even seen it, but according to Gary Oldman, maybe I shouldn't.

Well, after reading this article, i am now reassured. I understand why oldman did this movie and still appreciate him for all that he did before.

reply

awww...but he was still pretty good in what i saw of it.

he was good in as a messed up weird ass mofo. but ya he just did it for the money. it really was a bad movie

reply

Hahahhaha,
I love Gary.
He's so straightfoward about everything.
And he's getting sick of acting and he's
told people that. He critizes.

& I love it.
He's God.

It's refreshing to hear someone be honest, but I wonder if his "free speaking" has cost him any good roles? I hope not, because even if he's sick of acting, he still has to do it for the money - he may as well be in something decent.

reply

Well he got my respect for life after the role of Norman Stansfield in Leon..

reply

Agreed with the poster above me, in fact, Oldman is the only reason to watch "Leon" or "The Professional" in my honest opinion.

Wow though... crazy stuff... I had heard someone once call "Sin"... "The best direct-to-DVD movies ever"... and since Ving Rhames was in it, I bought it... cause if there is anyone who comes even close to rivaling Gary Oldman in coolness, it's Ving Rhames. lol, I'm gonna have to watch this movie tonite now...

reply

Yeah, I had heard he didn't like the film but think he was probably a bit harsh... I think it was more the directing than the actual film which was terrible... it was an interesting, revenge story

reply

Yeah...Leon and The Professional are the same movie...fyi.

Gary's my favorite actor, always has been, always will be. But I remember staring at my TV thinking "Why the hell would he do a movie like this?" The rape scene in particular was very, very hard to watch. I don't think I've ever fast forwarded through a movie so much in my life.

For a film that doesn't suck so much that was made during his apparent "slow period" check out Nobody's Baby, he's fabulous. Actually I liked everything up to and after Sin. And I hope people who watch him in the films that caused so much recent momentum, remember to watch all of his other work.

Thank you! I watched yesterday after recording a number of Ving Rhames movies. Of course I love Oldman,-but after 5 minutes,I stopped eatching the movie and just listened to it while surfing the net. You don't have to be a masochist to enjoy this movie. You have to be a sadist. Marquis De Sade (who really was such a bad guy-just an "interesting" writer.I can't believe Rhames was in this either.
