What did you think was more mature? Shark Tale or Finding Nemo?

Is this a question that truly needs to be answered? Obviously FINDING NEMO. Shark Tale was a mess and it's a shame that it got nominated over The Polar Express last year. Oh well, at least The Incredibles rightfully won!

SHARK TALE ALL DA WAY BABY!!!!!
shareThis coming from someone who uses "da" instead of "the" ... a shame.

BETTER-with out a douby Finding Nemo
MATURE-Shark Tale, I mean come on, gangsta sharks in a children's movie,LAME...yet cool at the same time
"I might have been born yesterday, but I stayed up all night."
Honestly when you think about it Shark Tale was more mature. KCJ wasn't asking which one was 'better'.
Finding Nemo is very designed for kiddies and although it does have a couple of pop-culture references Shark Tale is absoloutely packed with them. How many are gonna get why Robert De Niro is a gangster White Shark (will they even know who he is?), why the fish chant 'Oscar Bumaye'?, why Oscar shouts all those lines while in Lenny's mouth?. It seems like you need to be older just to get half of Shark Tale - although kiddies love it for the bright colours and talking fishies.
Too all people who think nemo is more mature than shark tale......YOU NEED TO GET OVER THE FACT THAT NEMO SUCKS!!
shareFinding Nemo was a kiddy film, Shark Tale had the best bits that Nemo didn't, Jack Black, Will Smith and Martin Scorsese as a pufferfish.
Snoogins!
Ich Komme! Ich Komme! Ich Komme! Ich Komme! Ich Komme! Ich Komme! Ich Komme! Ich Komme!
I recon that Nemo is way better than Shark Tale. Nemo is a classic.
shareWhat kind of mature are we talking about here? I'm confused now. See, I thought we were talking about Mature in story. You know, actually talking about something, smart jokes, a feel to it that can last a lifetime. Not a whole film about pop culture references and something that really didn't even need to include fish. Seriously. Shark Tale didn't need to include fish at all, and the fish that were in it didn't even move or act like fish.
So, which one is more mature, in an intelligent sense?
Finding Nemo.
Which one is more mature, in racy, crude, and unintelligent ways?
Shark Tale.
"I don't like so much freedom down there. It makes me tingly in my giblets."
As you got your signature from Lola Rennt, which represents German cinema at its worst, you have lost all credibility. And could someone please tell me what definition of "mature" we're using here? If "mature" means "violent" or perhaps "raunchy," then Shark Tale. If it means "intelligent" or "timeless," Finding Nemo. But I can't cast a vote until I know the criteria we're using!
Both films were supposed to be children's films, but Finding Nemo kept that in mind while putting in good jokes and intelligent themes. Shark Tale forgot it in an effort to be "cool."
BTW, dropping big names like Jack Black, Will Smith, Martin Scorsese, Renee Zellweger, and Robert DeNiro is a pitiful attempt to make a film look better. Finding Nemo only had two big names (Albert Brooks and Ellen DeGeneres) and it still sailed!

is that why it beated Shark Tale in every aspect?
btw Dreamworks animations are crap except Shrek and MAYBE Madagascar but that looks crap anyways

Agreed, cb. Dreamworks post-Shrek sucks big time.Gonna have to disagree, but to each his/her own.
Tiny, I'll tell ya what I'm getting over: the fact that two of the Pythons, Cleese and Idle, were cast in the English dub of Roberto Benigni's Pinocchio.LMFAO!!! This is one of the funniest things I have heard in a long time. I had no idea that they were involved in the English dub, but I can see why you are so upset.
Idle should stay in retirement,Awww...poor Eric Idle.
but Cleese does his job well as Q.Cleese has done so much more good than just Python and Q. He is an acting icon as far as I'm concerned, and I would like to see him in things other than 007. (Actually, I recall hearing somewhere that Q wasn't going to appear in the next 007.)
As far as awesome Cleese movies...A Fish Called Wanda. It doesn't get much better than that.Oh well, I have to link to this image now...

neither one was overall mature, but i thought shark tale was funnier. i thought nemo was annoying at parts, and very long and boring.
shareI fear for your future spawn. No, but, as someone said: in an intelligent sense, Nemo is far more mature. Smarter jokes, better animation, better (and actually darker, if you ask me- I mean, come on, someone is EATEN in the first five minutes) plot- and yes, Nemo is far funnier.

Finding Nemo is more mature (and a better film), but I do like Shark Tale.

I really didn't like either film. I remember watching Toy Story when it came out and i was maybe 5 years old, and I watched it a year ago and there was a lot I didn't get. Finding Nemo, I don't think that would have happened to me. And it might with shark tale but as much as i like jack black and de niro, i never want to see it again.
sharehum easy SHARK TALE 4ever
shareYEAH BABY!(cheering) SHARK TALE! SHARK TALE! SHARK TALE!
share"Shark Tale was more mature. Find Nemo was a better movie overall. Both films were crap."
Finding Nemo is a future classic. Shark Tale... well, just look at the Rotten Tomatoes rating. Shark Tale's sole purpose was to rake in cash, just like Garfield, which also sucks.
Finding Nemo. Many people say Shark Tale is more mature because of Oscar being a 'gangster' but I mean come on!!! A gangster FISH??? What's so mature about that??
shareI really think that Finding Nemo is much mature and much better film than Shark Tale. Shark Tale might be "modern", but Nemo is much more realistic and heoric. Just take a look at Marlin who sacrificed himself just to look for his son. But Oscar? He lied just for his own advantage! That actually gives a very bad moral, even though he confessed it at the end of the movie. People said Shark Tale is better 'coz the voice cast is played by famous guys (Will Smith etc). I think that great movies don't really need voice cast by famous guys. Just take a look at Pixar, even though they use not really famous voice cast, but their films rock, dude! You should judge film from the story, moral, and song. Even though Finding Nemo is a bit boring, but it's still a great film.

It's hardly Pixar's fault that Holly Hunter made a bad career decision and appeared in "Crash." She had the best voice for what the part required. End of story.

Nemo of course!
shareFinding Nemo is definitely more mature. I think it was a more realistic story and the jokes were smarter and the animation was way better (although that doesn't necessarily affect the maturity level)
I watched Shark Tale again pretty recently and some of the jokes were really stupid. And the ones that weren't dumb just weren't as funny as the ones in Nemo.
Finding Nemo in every possible way is the superior film. Shark Tale is one of the worst films ever made. Random sexual innuendoes and pop cultural references do not make a better movie.
