Goldsworthy's Philosophical Musings

I was absolutely mesmerized by the pieces Andy Goldsworthy created with nature in this film. I don't really know how to describe it, except to say that his work inspired me to try the same types of endeavors as soon as I have the chance.

But his philosophical ramblings were rather distracting for me. How does one "get past the wooliness of the sheep" to reach the essence of it? I thought he offered some fascinating, calmly insightful reflections on our connection to the earth, but there were a few comments that just struck me as rather silly. He treads a fine line between genius and space cadet.

Am I alone on this?

Also, I couldn't help but wonder about the reaction many people would have upon discovering some of these creations on a daily stroll. I would love to witness such an encounter!

An anonymous genius once said, "Sanity is the death of true genius."

His babbling is just content for the film. Filler, if you will.

I've hiked in many countries and encountered all sorts of similar man-made "constructs."

attention grammar-cops: you're not as smart as you expect from us.

Also..he made some comments about he loves to be alone that people "get in the way" or some sort or the other. I wonder what his family thought about his musings about people bothering him.
