anyone think that the actresses in this film actually KNEW how to play their instruments before filming the movie?
shareGina knew how to play guitar for years but she learned how to do electric guitar. Drea (Tracy) knew how to play bass as well. But (Sally) was taught to play drums for the movie and (Faith) was taught for the movie with guitar as well

if gina knew how to play guitar, then she knew how to play electric. same chords, same fingerings, thinner neck, amplified sound.
the point. If you know hwo to play guitar, you know how to play GUITAR. acoustic or electric.
What I meant by she 'learned' how to play electric, I don't mean she got lessons or anything. I was going by an interview she did where she said that Joan Jett was showing her how the hand movement is more arm than wrist and those simple stuff.

From this musician's perspective, they appeared to be definitely playing their instruments at least 98% - 99% of the time. Hell, my guitarist loved their choice of amplifiers!
