This movie is deeply misogynistic. It justifies rape by showing it to be a means to an end- female love. Brutalize her enough and she will love you. Give me a damn break. Where is the female, the character, not just the body, in this story? Having her fall in love with her tormentor makes the film more disgusting not less, as it destroys any claim she might have to her own fate or decisiveness.
