I don't get how giving someone a beat down gets them out of prison?

What was that all about? How did that guy get him out of the death sentence through that? Did he just buy him time for someone to release him or what? Also how the hell does this guy take so much punishment and keeps on ticking? Especially at the end when he was left for dead and gets back up. Is he wolverine or something? Does he have a healing factor, that totally lost me.

Yeah, I was going to ask the same question. If you beat down a guy about to get hung, they get set free and you get hung instead? Is that what happened?

I think we see how the guy hits him, but we don't see (we must imagine) that this guy confesses later he is the killer.

after the guards separate the two prisoners one guard asks the prisoner who beat up han-ki ( i dont remmember his name anymore) something like this " why would you beat up a man who is sentenced to death?" the prisoner answers "call the prosecutor".

Like the poster above said he confesses, even later when Han-ki and his friend fight he says why did you let the girl free, and you turned our friend into a murderer...I thought it was obvious

Well that clears it up cause I was totally lost there. And yes I know what a prosecutor is, I know what an ass is as well.

I was initially confused by this as well. Makes sense that he confessed and that's how Han-gi got out. However, what still doesn't make sense to me is why he would confess like that and save Han-gi's life after beating him so viciously. Why did he do that? Wasn't the whole reason he was there because Han-gi took the fall for him? And why did his friend say he turned that guy into a murderer? He was a murderer.

Seemed to me like he did it to grab their attention. He had to do something drastic to do so, as they're taking him off to hang him. They probably won't stop 'cause some looney yells from his cell "No, it was me!"
