I really loved this movie. I think I've seen it no less than a dozen times now. And I think I'll watch it a dozen more. I'm wondering what other movies out there would be very similar to 'The Skeleton of Cadavra'? I want something really close. Any suggestions?

"Trail of the Screaming Forehead" - also by Larry Blamire, is now in post production. Should be coming out any time now. Much of the TLSoC will be in this one too including Fay Masterson (Mrs. Armstrong), Susan McConnell (Lattice), Andrew Parks (Kro-Bar), Brian Howe (Dr. Roger Flemming), Dan Conroy (Ranger Brad), Jennifer Blaire (Animala/Pammy), and Larry Blamire (Dr. Armstrong).
You might also consider "Bubba Ho-tep", though there's an "R" rating on that one due mainly to language. Still damned funny though it's billed as a horror film.

shareAnother movie similar to this one that I love is "Midnight Skater." Its not exactly a spoof of 60s movies but its got a lot of other similar characteristics. Its gott he cliche bad acting of a "horror" movie. It has intentional funny moments, that make it look like they are unintentional. And its also got 3 major plot points that all cuminate together int he last scene.
Thats one of the main things I liked about Skeleton. You have the evil scientist tryign to get his skeleton to life. You have the aliens trying to get their ship fixed. and then u have the scientist studying a fallen meteor. not to mention a few other subplots going on.
In "Midnight Skater" you got zombies attacking the college students, a serial killer student, and also a mysterious skater at midnight. Then at the end it all comes together. Its really funny too. Definitely check it out.
The movie you want is "The Naked Monster" What this movie did for the alien invasion movies of the 50's. The Naked Monster does for the Giant Monster Movies of the 50's. One laugh after another. With every monster reference you could think of.
shareIt is not a perfect fit but "Bubba Ho-Tep" was a good spoof horror/sci-fi movie with Elvis and JFK in it. It does not have the perfect fifties black and white feel but it does have actors who really deliver. The movie was so good that it went beyond spoof.

Not quite in the same boat, but I'd suggest watching some episodes of Mystery Science Theater 3000.

shareDefinitely check out "Garth Marenghi's Darkplace"!!! It's a BBC comedy that's hilarious and makes fun of 80's and 90's horror tv shows. It is hard to find here in the states, I've been looking for a quite while now.
