I was thinking about it. What school would take 14 year old's to Italy? Lol I know my school definitely would not.

My high school does trips like that. But its mostly juniors and seniors that go. They go over spring break. I'm going to Rome and Athens next year. I'm very excited! =]

My school took us to Rome, Florence, Arezzo... Which is not hard, since we are in Italy already.

Actually we never had a trip outside the country, sigh.

... Nice one. I wish I were that lucky lol but my middle school did have a few good trips, too. I went to a Catholic school, and when we were in 8th grade, we took a day trip to NYC for a nice dinner and got to see a Broadway show, we went to D.C. with a nearby Jewish school to see the Holocaust museum, we went into Philly a few times in our last few years at the school to see historical sites. Though, we never did something quite as extravagant as a trip to Europe haha but my high school did offer the opportunity to juniors and seniors (during spring break, they offered the chance to go to Spain or Italy, depending on what language class you were taking).

Why did I write? Because I found life unsatisfactory.

When I was 12 my junior high took a bunch of us to France, Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Austria on a ten day whirlwind trip, and the year before they all went to Italy. It happens quite often

It's actually very common. When I was in 8th grade, my middle school took most of my 8th grade class (70 students, aged 13/14, myself included) to France and Spain (There were also a few 7th graders who were 12/13). This year, they're going to France, Spain, and Italy. They also have other trips to Australia, Washington D.C., and they were thinking about going to the Amazon Rain forest (although I'm not sure if the last one actually happened). My high school does the same thing. A lot of schools are very open to that idea.
