This movie wasn't bad...but...

It had some serious issues.

Firstly...who else thought that KAte looked like a hot mess for the entire firm. She looked TERRIBLE. I don't know why. The haircut and 'french' makeup was shocking

- too many story lines. I felt there were so many storylines, but none of them really got investigated properly. For example, why did Kate suddenly go for the old uncle? In the beginning, I thought it was with some alterior motive...I thought maybe she was doing it to help out her sister in some way...but no.

- Magda's crazy husband...WTF? This was ridiculous. Why was he constantly trying to talk to Naomi...she had nothing to do with it...stupid.

- the rationale for Naomi's husband leaving. Seriously, he didn't come across as a husband with a child, he seemed more like a boyfriend of a few weeks!

- Noone really caring when Naomi's husband gets shot. Seriously, for the most part, it felt like everyone was relieved because the ownership of the painting was nolonger in jeaopardy and Naomi could now be a happy widow.

The whole thing was watchable...but the script was all over the shop. It felt like they'd tried to amalgamate 5 scripts in one movie or something.

Also, I agree with a prior poster, the main problem this film had, was that it had two bubbly blonde leading ladies, and it was marketed as a funny feel good film, maybe even a romantic comedy. For example, at the beginning, I thought it was going to be about the Paris dating scene! haha, I was s wrong.

The movie wasn't bad? Then you lay out what was wrong?

You're out of your mind.

Yeah, I would've had a chance to enjoy it more (or at least, not so frustrated!) if I knew that it was clearly a DRAMA and NOT a romantic comedy!

It made me angry when Roger was more concerned about the painting than his own sister going through a very painful break up.

Roger: What did she say?
Marge: She's miserable
Roger: About the PAINTING?!

VERY insensitive!!!

"You know mom, I'm crazy about this Asprin... can't believe we give it to children."
