So Confused (contains spoilers)

OK so I am like 45 minutes into this movie and I am so confused I came here to see if I could make sense of this strange movie. I don't find it all that bad I just think for a "romanic comedy" it shoudldn't be this hard to follow...so please correct me if I am wrong PLEASE but so far this is what I understand and the questions that I have...

OK sister is prego and her husband leaves her ... he has girlfriend ... why the hell does HER (as in Magda) husband become so angry at Roxy, why not at her husband ... HELLO he is the one *beep* his wife, not the poor pregnant woman, she is just as pissed and hurt as he is

Isabel is sleepin with 2 men ... 1 is just that ugly guy that no one really cares about ... but the other, her Uncle?? I have read in some posts that this isn't her uncle at all but some weird by marriage thing, I read on someone elses thread that it is Roxy's husbands uncle which then would in turn make him nothing to Isabel? I am so confused ... I get it that he is a playboy that has all these women and he always buys them the same purse BLAH BLAH BLAH ... but I just don't get how all of this is going to mesh into anything in the end

Like I said I am confused which is why this is coming across so crazy BUT I am hoping that once I finish the movie it will all make more sense to me ... please any info you can give me to make this all clear in my head would be great, I don't want to have the ending spoiled so please I just finished the part where the crazy guy is at the poem reading and gets kicked out, if it all comes together in the end that is all I need to know

Thanks for reading my rambling and sorry if I sound all stupid and crazy but for some reason this has been hard for my mind to wrap around...too many characters all speaking French with no subtitles ugh

You've got it. It doesn't make a lot of sense and the character nearly derails the entire film. He's just nuts. I guess the writer felt that they needed to establish that he was nuts before he killed Charles Henri. His character doesn't really serve any other purpose, except to commit the murder.

Right. It's Charles Henri's, mother's, younger brother. A relative of Roxy's by marriage, but no relation to Isabel.

You've pretty much got it. The film is more a comedy of manners than about plot.
