Ringing Bell - watched again after 17yrs!!

Man...so I told my husband that there were two movies from my childhood I watched over and over again. I remember them vividly...watching them while my mom or my sister sat behind me sniffling and telling me I was crazy...and then it's been 17+ years since I've seen either of them. I told him how sentimental they were and how I'd like to watch them again, through an adults eyes, and see how I felt. Well he found them. Both. Ringing Bell being one of them, Unico being the other. We haven't watched Unico yet, but we sat together and watched Ringing Bell...it was fair quality but it was on the computer, and we just plugged it into the main TV. He thought I was crazy - but it was totally nostalgic for me! Plus - I love how I now GET the messages conveyed. It is indeed a HEAVY film for any kid to be watching and truly understand...I will be letting my kids watch it though, for kicks...just to see how they react to the movie mommy loved SOOOO much as a little girl.
How creepy was it though that the wolf spoke to him pretty much telepathically?

man, your post makes me want to watch this movie again. i think i have the vhs of it somewhere at my parent's house. i still remember that haunting song that plays at the end of the show.

You totally should!! I felt so sad when he was standing there calling for the wolf at the end, then the music...so sad!! LOL. Like I said, my husband thought I was nuts, and perhaps if I hadn't watched it a million and a half times as a kid - you can find it online though, if you can't find your VHS.
