If you enjoyed this flick you should check out a book by HILTON ALS called THE WOMEN. Als writes for THE NEW YORKER, theatre reviewer mostly. In THE WOMEN, he writes essays from a black gay perspective. He celebrates the difficult, complex women in his life and his liason with a member of the Harlem Renaissance. Though it is a slender volume, it is packed with content.
