Celebrating for Brother to Brother

I loved this movie so much, that I puchased two dvds and added the extra postage of next day mail. So long have I wanted to see black gay males on the screen who weren't stereotypes. It was nice to see men who looked like me and other black gay men. So, I am so happy that Rodney Evans made this film.

I am happy just to see positive black gay characters celebrated on the screen written by another black gay man like Rodney Evans, my new favorite director/writer who I will be happy to praise and support any way I can.

Thank you, Mr. Evans

I have used this film in my film studies Masters seminars at University, and for my own research. I think it is really quite wonderful!! And seeing a drama about what it means to be Gay in Black America is very important. There is so much to commend regarding this excellent Inde American film. Some white boy from the USA anger posted me because I did not agree with him due to the fact he disliked the film and I disagreed with him. Living outside of the USA is a great relief. I just don't have to see and deal with anxious white blokes in need... Many of my students are White, Asian, Afro/Caribbean, and Oriential and none of them ever utter the xxxx I've read from IMDB posters in the States.

When I read something smart and heartfelt is is such a relief. Your post gave me that feeling, thanks.

As a black, straight man, let me say first and foremost this was a wonderful film! I'm also a connoissuer of black film, and I'm glad that we have a film for our gay brothers that we can add to the vast library of black film.

Valiant effort. Plus the fact that it contaings Anthony Mackie and Aunjanue Ellis, to performers who have yet to get their just due.
