Cooks Tour on DVD

I know I can't be the only one who would like to see this series put on DVD! Especially if they could release hour long, uncensored "Directors Cuts" of the first 2 seasons episodes. I'd really like to see some of the outtakes...

You got me excited.

I thought you were going to say they've released it. I too would like to see it on DVD.

The only problem is that much of what isn't shown (according to the book) would put the Food Network in something of a bad light. Much drinking and drug use, food poisoning (and a joke by the cameraman), things like that.

But, yeah, a dvd would rock my world.

That stuff would be hell funny to watch!

It would make the series probably barable to watch on DVD and maybe worth paying for. (Multiple repeats get boring, you know)

I agree this is the best show on the Food Network,

I had a blast watching the episode where he goes to Vietnam to eat random stuff lol

Does anyone know if Cook's Tour will be released on DVD?

I went to a book signing back in October of 2005 when he was touring his "Les Halles Cookbook" and someone in the audience asked if he thought they would ever release A Cook's Tour on DVD. He said that based on what he's heard, it would never see the light of day. I'm glad they're still showing it on Food TV, albeit late in the evening. With Tivo and a DVD Recorder, I'm able to collect the entire 2 seasons, one by one.

How late? I haven't seen Cook's Tour in forever. I constantly check the Food Network show listings and never see it. Might be rare.

Too bad Tony didn't have more control on his end product. I wonder if he has enough cash to buy them episodes from Food Network or does he even want to?
