I can't believe this show acknowledged A Pup Named Scooby Doo as canon

I just recently discovered that one of the episodes had Velma having a flashback to a birthday party when she was a kid and the flashback is animated so they're drawn to appear how they did in A Pup Named Scooby Doo. Ok WTF? A Pup Named Scooby Doo does NOT work in the *beep* Scooby Doo canon you idiots! Its a freakin' parody with cartoonish antics and isn't meant to be taken seriously whatsoever. There is no way that A Pup Named Scooby Doo can fit in the same continuity as "Scooby Doo, Where Are You?" and "What's New Scooby Doo" because it has a totally different tone and it is meant to be a joke more or less. I don't have a problem with a Pup Named Scooby Doo, it does its job well, but how can people seriously expect this show to be in the same continuity as the more serious shows where the gang are adults. It doesn't work, plain and simple. Stop acknowledging a god damn joke show as a legit entry into the Scooby Doo universe when it is nothing more but a parody. That show needs to be ignored and shouldn't be mixed into the more serious "What's New Scooby Doo". Seriously, fans and animators can be so damn stupid at time. Don't acknowledge a joke parody show just because it is in the same mythos.

Wow... angry much?

You're getting wound up over a show who's characters haven't aged once in 40 years.

It's f--king Scooby Doo. Chill that autism out.

I don’t know if the brief flashback in that one episode actually rendered A Pup Named Scooby Doo canon per se, it just gave the characters the same design as in that cartoon. Probably just an Easter egg really.
