This movie was bad.

I agree! I thought this movie was really good 'cause even though it was stereotypical and portraying F.O.B.S as nasty and dirty..etc, it still shows that regardless of their oily hair, lack of hygiene, they have some really good qualities. For example the way Hari would keep saying how his parents have helped him so much and when he gets his very first pay check, he decides to send it back to India. Thus, this affects Mohan, the white-washed, spoiled-brat Indian who gets everything on a silver platter and he gives his first check to his dad as well, I thought that was a really touching scene. Finally at the end when Ray starts kicking out everyone cuz he doesn't want any nasty fobs at the party, Mohan jumps in and starts telling him that he shouldn't be so discriminatory cuz "we are all desi: Indian, pakistani, Bengali...oh yeah and Sri lankan, Nepali.."..hehe. I thought this movie was trying to portray a really good message and the best thing is that it's TRUE. I know so many white-washed Indians/desis who despise Fobs and look down at them, but little do they realize that they DO have some really good qualities and we should learn something from them, instead of trying to be something they're not. Anyways, thought I'd share my views!
