Concerned with the Rating?

I have years of knowledge of ours along with other ratings around the world, just for hobby. So if you are concerned with this movie not being rated, here's how I would have rated it...

Stratosphere Girl, The: Rated R for strong erotic content including graphic images and drug use, some violent content and language

This is a good fim, though not for the faint of heart.

For Australia, I think it would be for suitable for an R rating. This movie is too much for a 15 year old. Anyways, besides the nudity there's also an image of a vagina (drawing). I'm don't know what your getting at when you said "drug use?? a use of a bong?". That is a type of drug that is used.

What drugs? We were never told *what* was smoked, just that they were using some high-tech smoking device. For all we know, it could have been some what to get a serious nicotine buzz.

Just curious; How would a sketch of a vagina be seen as harmful if seen by a minor?? Nudity, unless it is combined with a scene of violence, such as rape, cannot harm a child. The film "L'Amant", with Jane March is rated 12 here in Germany, and there is alot of graphic nudity and sex in that one. What is unhealthy is instilling in kids the belief that there is something 'evil', or dirty about the human body. I just don't get it. Stratosphere Girl might earn an 'R' rating, but only because of the adult theme of prostitution involving a minor, and suggested violence against a girl. On the other hand I believe that any film featuring someone getting shot should automatically warrent an 'R' rating. Because this is what harms kids; watching scene after scene of people being murdered.

Well, the movie is rated 16 in germany, and I thought the movie was harmless...
