changed ending SPOILER

I liked the movie a lot until I got to the end and realized that they had COMPLETELY altered the ending from what actually happens in the book! In the book, he gets to go home and many years later, after Ted has died, his son comes back to Belgium and finds Claire and her daughter (who is Ted's daughter)who is mentally impaired. I liked that ending SO much more!

ME, TOO. the book was waaaayyyy better, I felt like if you didn't read the book, you wouldn't get some parts of it at all. also in the book, she was in prison for awhile, and in the movie it made it seem like she got out right away.
