So if it ever was a real movie...

If they ever make redwall into a full 2-3 hour CGI/ live action movie, what about cast? post ideas. Here's mine:

Matthias: Paul Mcgillon or Billy Boyd
Cluny: Gary Oldman or antonio banderas
Cornflower: Kate Winslet or Kate Beckinsale
Basil: Albert Finny
Cpt. Snow: Edward Fox
Julian: Kenneth Branagh
Abbot Mortimer: Tom Wilkinson
Methuselah: Derek Jacobi
Warbeak: Ziyi Zhang
King Bull Sparra: Yun Fat Chow
Friar Hugo: Brian Blessed
Constance: Kathy Bates
Sela: Rachael Weisz

and that is all that comes to mind at the moment. Feel free to input! =)

Good cast choices mate! I have a few I would go with a touch differently. (i've left out characters i spot on agree with you).

Matthias - Robert Pattison
Cluny - Andy Serkis
Basil - Stephen Fry or Hugh Laurie
Abbot Mortimer - Patrick Stewart or Ian Mckellen
Methuselah - Christopher Lee
Constance - surprisingly enough, Whoopi Goldberg. I think inspired off the Lion King performance. I always felt the badgers had an American lilt. Boar the fighter for me always had had Viggo Mortensen in mind for the voice.

As for the moles - Stephen Merchant should be the leader. He's perfect for the role.

Martin The Warrior hasn't been mentioned but i'm throwing my choice in.

David Tennant.

Ohh andy serkis would be good as cluny... your casting works really well aslo all round. If were talking strictly the book redwall, matthias and martin could just have the same voice because it is in a way matthais's inner warrior speaking to him, but david tennant is good.
