Why did Sonny beat up that guy?
Ok, so I really liked this movie, but why did Sonny go to Acid Yellow's house, and why did he beat up that guy? I don't get it.
He realized he was gonna be trapped in the hooking life forever.
Henry, who he already looked on as a father of sorts, had encouraged him to get out.
When that didn't work and he came slinking back to town Jewel was happy to put him back to work as the male stud in her stable.
Now that Henry is dead (and Sonny learned he really WAS his father) Sonny realizes nobody is going to encourage him to get out any more so he is stuck. He gets drunk as hell and decides he is going to start doing gay jobs (which he had refused to do previously).
So he lashes out at the gay guy as symbolizing the whole life he now thinks he can never get away from.
