the police stick and the old lady LMAO!

ooooo man.
my friends and I started a marathon of all James Franco movies so far and when we go to this one...I gotta say, it was quite a ride!

the funniest part of this movie BY FAR is when the 1st old lady he *beep* asks her to *beep* her first with his polic stick! like....can't she do that by herself , without his help?? I say use his own first :P

James is hot and all, quirky BUT too skinny in this movie. Did anyone else think it was kind of gross to see his ribs on his back sticking out??

can't she do that by herself , without his help

I'm sure she CAN, but that is not part of the fantasy. She needed HIM to do it to fuel her fantasies and get her higher.

And yes, I agree, James Franco was a bit too skinny. I would have wanted to see some more flesh on that otherwise very nice body.

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing

I was slightly disturbed when that came up, but looking back on it, it's pretty funny lol. Talk about an awkward moment, he didn't look like he was enjoying that too much. And then she stiffed him his money! Old broad, geez.

And he was definitely too skinny. I don't know if they had him shed a few pounds of muscle or not, but he was skinnier than he normally is. The rib thing is just a turnoff, which sucks, because James Franco is a pretty gorgeous man otherwise.

Men were much thinner 25 years ago than they are today. It wasn't the standard to lift weights to bulk up like men do now. James Franco's physical appearance in this movie is an accurate depiction of how men looked in 1981 -- and were considered to be sexy.

reply

This is to the people who think James was too skinny, To each his own. I thought he looked just FINE. He's too sexy. I find guys who are bulky unappealing.

reply

When I first saw that I was totally disturbed but then it was just friggin hilarious. Oh and he was too skinny - he looked much healthier (and sexier) in Tristan and Isolde or Annapolis.

reply

I think he looks the best in Tristan + Isolde and Annapolis too.
He looks absolutely gorgeous. I think he was a little scrawny in this movie he looks better with muscle!

reply

I didnt think that was funny at all. That is somebody's Grandma!

When I come across a scene like that,I stare directly at the corner of the screen so I dont look at the car crash so to speak but still kinda know whats going on. And what was going on is all kinds of wrong.

Because Grammas aren't supposed to have sexual desires or fantasies? Hey, if you're going go to pay someone for sex then why not try something you wouldn't try with anyone else? If you don't like it or embarrassed then you never even have to see that person again. On the other hand, you can count on their "professional" training and discretion. What happens in the professionals bed chamber stays in the bed chamber.

This is actually a very common reason for people to hire prostitutes. They can entertain fantasies or fetishes they would never ask from their regular partner or spouse. While this seems dishonest to their "real" partner, they could realistically be afraid that their partner would be disgusted by their desires or fantasies, or they may fear that if they didn't like it after all their partner DOES--or worse may even hold the experience over them for the rest of their lives. ("At least I don't...." insert festish/fantasy here) After all, some festishes are considered extremely bizarre and may elicit disgust, even in our relatively open-minded times. This one as described (and I haven't seen the film, but I'm a Graduate student of Marriage and Family Therapy) sounds very mild. And it's rather offensive to consider it disturbing simply because of her age.
