How did this movie end?

I started watching this movie on TV last night late, so taped it, went to bed and just watched the rest of it today. It was a cute movie, I got the whole of it till after they have been in Russia awhile- the younger brother (Josh) met a blonde girl who seemed like THE ONE then went kind of wild. At the end the documentary lady brought Jake to meet the perfect woman (which seemed like kind of a coincidence the night before they were going home).

In the end Jake was cooking (with the perfect one?) and Josh was eating fish and apparently one woman (I couldn't keep all of them straight) had had cooked his goldfish. Maybe it was the "perfect" woman Jake had just been introduced to the night before they left Russa. She ended up coming home with them as the "wife" for the both of them?

Anyway, it seemed to be clear and have some kind of a plot, till the very end and I was left thinking "huh...?"

Unless the TV station cut out some of it for some reason.

Jake was cooking with the documentary woman. I'd assume (though it wasn't said), still in Russia.

Josh was eating fish with the "perfect" woman, back home. Jake had sent her to the airport in Russia, where she met up with Josh, and they went back to the farm. As Josh's wife.

THE CLIMAX HAPPENED ON THE EVE OF THEIR LAST DAY IN RUSSIA.

Angela Beck (Emily Mortimer), the documentary producer, found "the perfect woman" for them the eve of their last night in Russia. Angela did this despite her, starting to fall in love with the older brother, Jake (Tim Blake Nelson). This was to carry out her promise of helping him find this woman. She also probably did this to test Jake's feelings for her -- to see if his "mission" was more important than his feelings for her.

Jake, the older brother, goes with her to check out the "the perfect woman", and agrees. He takes care of the legal marriage and travel documentations to prepare her for her residency in America.

Angela is broken hearted, but goes him to the airport.

Earlier, Jake and Josh (David Arquette) had a big fight, that showed Jake's big brother protection and care rejected by Jake, who has become addicted to the Russian nightlife.

At the airport, Josh shows up after being beaten by a local Russian gangster (getting his first taste of the darker side of the Russian nightlife). They meet and here's the twist . . . Jake tells Josh to bring "the perfect woman" home to the States. Jake himself, has decided to stay in Russia, and give Josh, his independence and identity. Of course, without taking care of this last act of big brotherly love -- making sure Josh has a wife who will take care of him.

THE AFTERMATH:

Jake finds Angela in her favourite spot by the river. He admits to having fallen in love with her, and that it is now time for him to seek his own happiness and let Josh grow on his own. The next day, we find Jake making breakfast for Angela.

In the US, Josh is seen enjoying a very tasty dinner, which turns out to be his pet fish.

I THINK IT'S APPARENT THAT I REALLY LIKED THE MOVIE, IN DUE TO TIM BLAKE NELSON AND EMILY MORTIMER'S PERFOMANCES, AND THE DOCUMENTARY STYLE THAT WAS INTERSPERSED WITHIN THE MOVIE.

I did not pick up that Jake was still in Russia. Had to go back and take another look.

but the radio is in Russia, so you're right.

that puts a different spin on it.

This part confuses me. The Russia gangster beat up Josh; kicked him outside, and then put him in a cab to the airport.

It is possible that somehow Jake arranged for this to happen?
