Too Soon?

Is that why it failed? I remember watching a few episodes and how I knew many people who were going " That only happened like 15 years ago, it's not that old ".

I think they should have another show like this cept call it " Remember The 80s ".

Around 2010, and have the show start at like 1980 or 1981.

Now that's a generation.

Have a lot more focus on 80s tv and music rather than *beep* characters.

Those foolish enough to move from canada to america increase the average I.Q. of both countries

No the problem was the characters and audience expectations.

People thought that 70s show was going to evolve into the 80s but instead we got new people we didn't care about.

lol commenting on something from 2008 in 2014...

Anyway, I think the writers were looking to have this show last more than one season for a few reasons: 1) as an extension of the original 70s' show, 2) as a reason to have cast members jump on board once the other show ended, and 3) hoping that if it does well like the 70's show that it would have last a good 3-6 seasons. If it made it to season 6, it would have started it's season when That 70's Show had officially ended. Since as a trivia points out that the lead in 80's Show is the cousin of Eric Foreman, we could have season him and Donna out in San Diego or his sister. Heck even Kelso or Hyde.

That 70's Show started off rough the first few episodes, but it got better. I think, hear me out, that if the writers had more time, they could have written better scripts. The pilot, sucked! lol by episode five the show got better. But the general public put TOO much expectations on this show hoping for an identical formula from the other show. No spin off show is going to be exactly like the original (i.e. - Frasier, Joey, etc...)

The show could of worked, I think it just needed time to grow into its own.
