NOTICE TO ALL THOSE WHO DISRESPECT STEVE IRWIN'S LEGACY

1. Get A Life

2. If you wish to do so do it on another site

3. Have some respect for the dead, just because and your jealous about it doesent mean you have to make fun of him after he's gone.

steve irwin was certainly a character, and it always cheered me up seeing him on tv. rest in peace, mate!

Unfortunately some people lead very pathetic lives...
Steve Irwin is a legend and only a couple of weeks before he died I was at Australia Zoo and commented to someone later that evening that he was the greatest living Australian. His death was a big blow and here in New Zealand there was a lot of grief too.

reply

Hyperbole aside, Steve Irwin is one of the greatest men that ever lived.

reply

heelz yeah he rocked

reply

naaaw he wasn't that great.

reply

I loved his show. I was devestated wheen I found out he died so suddenly.

When in doubt kill it.

reply

At least his death wasn't in vain. Now we all know that fu(k1ng around with stingrays might kill us. Always handy to know.

It's not the years, honey; it's the mileage.

reply

Steve whas one of the coolest wildlife people I have ever seen.

To put it into perspective though, look at it from a film point of view. Personally I think Steve Irwin was an absolute legend, who did more to educate people about conservation than most people will achieve in a lifetime.
That said, this film was truly awful. Much as I respect Steve, if I never see the film again, I'll be happy. His legend will live on sufficiently, without people bolstering votes for this rubbish, which has definitely happened.

I absolutely agree, to come here and disrespect the man himself after his death, is well and truly out of order, but people should feel free to comment on the film. If you want to see Steve at his best, watch his series on Discovery, and not this tripe.. there you'll see him in his true comfort zone, doing what he did, and still does, best.. teach, entertain, and above all rub off a bit of his personality on all of us, his fans.

I like the positive feedback from this tread. His TV series was the greatest. Sorry his life had to end so soon, but his good work will live for ever. His wife and daughter are a sweeties. I hope his son grows up to have the same honor as Steve.

Steve Irwin knew how dangerous it was when he was killed and thats why i respect him. Nobody else would have the guts to go into these dangerous situations and risk their lives so that they can educate the rest of the world about all of these amazing and mysterious creatures. I never saw the movie, but i watched the show and i know from seeing how happy he was on there, that he went out the way he would've wanted too, maybe too early cuz he was so young, but i know he was doing what he loved when he died.

reply

I've only seen a little bit of his show, but he was a cool guy. His Austrailian accent made it sound like he was trying to be funny, even though he wasn't. Crikey.

He's not slamming the haters, he's saying this isn't the place for it. And I don't think saying that is a waste of his time, much less so than the time you wasted writing paragraphs of how much you think the OP is wrong.

reply

So where is the correct site for criticising Steve Irwin?

reply

I liked the guy.. and thought he did some exciting stuff for TV... But He shows with this silly movie that he is no Big Screen actor. If you do not want to review movies.. and just want to rave about Steve? It is you that should go somewhere else. This movie is silly and boring.

I was shocked when I'd heard he was dead. In fact, I think the first words out of my mouth when my mom told me was, "Are you kidding?"

I agree. He's awesome. Watching this movie (for the first time) makes me wish he was still alive :(

reply

I saw tho movie last night for the first time and I thought it was pretty funny. No, it wasn't the best film in the world, but at the end of a stressful day, I got a kick out of it. I think Steve Irwin had to be a pretty cool guy who was easy to get along with to do a project like this. I still can't believe he's gone.

I agree, I enjoyed this movie & Steve was a really awesome human being and I STILL to can't believe he is gone. He was like a ball of energy & ALWAYS fun to watch with animals.

He knew what he was doing, and knew the risks involved, so he wasn't crazy. Its just a sad twist of fate that his fatal accident was by a creature not hitherto known for being particularly dangerous.

reply

He absolutely was. One of my colleagues was an expert herpetologist and did his dissertation on the DNA of cobra venom. He considered Irwin to be the best venomous snake handler he had ever seen.
