not funny in any intended way and weird as hell

i did laugh while watching this, but not in the way the movie intended me to. i laughed at the really disturbing expression Steve made when he said "SEE YA" after making the guy let go of the rope by using the snake. by the way, whoever is reading this, you absolutely should watch this movie just for that moment. anyway, near the end, after one of the bad guys crashes a glider in the river, Steve looks at the camera and says something like "if we leave them here, the wildlife will eventually take them" then, and i'm not making this up, he says "OK LET'S GO" and they DRIVE RIGHT OFF IN THEIR BOAT, leaving them behind.

here's what to expect from this movie:

it's divided into very separate story lines. there is Steve's story, in which every scene literally plays out like an episode of the crocodile hunter, the fbi agents, and the Australian ranch owner who's trying to get rid of a crocodile that's eating her cows, i think. what makes the movie so weird is that the non Steve scenes are directed like a typical movie but Steve'e scenes are directed like a tv show, as i mentioned before, so it's a weird hybrid. i wish i could say it's any good or even the least bit funny, but it really isn't. the whole thing is bland and uninteresting. the only thing that kept me watching to the end was my respect for Steve and everything he and his wife did, so every scene he wasn't in dragged on for what felt like hours.

lastly, apparently Steve Irwin was completely fearless of everything, as he maintains his cautiously jolly persona throughout everything that happens, even when one of the fbi agents pulls a gun on him.

this movie is awful, but still, R.I.P. Steve. there will never be another like you.

Well Tony, nobody wants a war. If we can't do business why we'll just shake hands and that'll be it!
