How did the name Poppitz get on the list?

When Gerry goes through the list of persons, which will visit the templetown, he finds the name "Ben Poppitz". Later on, when Ben gets shot, he claims not to be THE Poppitz. So how did the name get on the list, if he isn't it? Did Lena write it on? And if yes, why did she so?
