What if Dave had just said to Dr. Rydell in instead of saying "I Don't Know What the Hell You Want Me to say? " Angrily, Dave had just said instead "Um Mr. Rydell, I'm a little confused because your asking me who I am really am, and I'm telling you the truth of who I am."

Was the whole Plane Scene a Set Up as well?

I believe it was a setup. I'm pretty sure they went through the plane thing and it was all pre-planned except for the pissed off air marshal who tazed him. He was just having a bad day.
