does Sandler deserve a girl like Marisa

first off, look at Sandler..pretty much an ordinary looking guy with an egg-shaped head (drew barrymore makes fun of him in 50 first dates)

secondly in the movie he has this extremely boring and bitter personality

just how did he get his hands on a woman like Marisa?
what the heck did she find in him?

sense of humour ;)

some people say - "make a woman laugh and she's all yours"

of course, it obviusly won't work anytime, but sometimes it work ;)

I don't think she deserved him. I hated her in this movie. She hung around with that weasel and just sat back when he belittled Sandler's character. "Where did you go to school again?" etc. etc. And the way her eyes let up when she asked ," No, why? is it HUGE?". No wonder His character had anger issues. A woman like that and an jerk for a boss.. "You're always late" etc etc.. He could have dumped her, quit his job and avoided the anger altogether.

It seemed to me she saw potential in him.
some women bring out the best in men, but encouraging them.

I read something interesting recently, which explains a lot of couples...

Whereas most guys have roughly the same idea of what makes a woman "beautiful"

Women, individually, all have completely different ideas of what makes a man attractive. So I can believe that (if you want to see it in physical terms) there could be at least one woman in all the world who thinks Adam Sandler is the definition of "handsome"

They are characters. I don't really know if actual Sandler has anything romantic going on with actual Tomei, but if we look at the characters, it isn't realistic that a fear-based, nervous, easily irritable, passive-aggressive, manipulative, superficial, fake ásskisser and people-pleaser like Sandler's character could have picked up Tomei's character (although she was not young anymore in this movie).

But then again, if George Costanza could attract Tomei's character in Seinfeld, maybe anything is possible.

That 'make women laugh'-stuff only works to a point; if you don't advance to other things after you have shown to have humor, you will just become a 'clown that makes her laugh' instead of 'the man she desires'.

This is the same guy who has had love interests like Bridgette Wilson,Jessica Biel,Brooklyn Decker and Kate Beckinsale lol.

I don't think Marisa as far as looks go is a catch

reply

Yeah it’s been a talk for a while where people complained his love interests in movies are often super hot.

reply

Of course he doesn't. Kind of the point.
