I really like this movie and similar movies like The People vs Larry Flynt, Almost Famous, Private Parts, Man on the Moon, Election, Boogie Nights, Ed Wood, and Thank You For Smoking. Does anyone have any good suggestions for other feel-good biopics or satires like the ones mentioned?

share@Broncho_Knight I second the suggestion of Crumb (1994) - it's a fascinating documentary in its own right, but the fact that it's about one of the people depicted in American Splendor makes it a must-see.
Just make sure you don't watch Crumb when you're in a bad mood because it is, shall we say, a bit of a downer.

I love this movie as well. Great biopics you might like would be Pollock (about Jackson Pollock) or Basquait.
