I just saw 'Time Out'

The first thing I have to say was that it moved me so much that I had to go on the internet and find as much information as I could, which is very rare. As an educator I think it is very important to verse ourselves on the issues surrounding our schools and child abuse is surely one of them. This film was not only a sensitive and moving portrayal of a young girl's struggles, it would also provide an excellent resource for educators. I am currently in a class where this movie would be very relevant and I will definitely bring it up tomorrow as a resource for us. What an awesome film and potentially a great tool to empower students and educators alike to recognize and call out violence when we see it.

Who on here wanted to punch the aunt in the face besides me? She better be lucky she wasn't MY sister or else she would've been whooped with that extension cord by ME! Not just the aunt, but anyone for that matter.

I don't have any kids, but if I ever do I will NEVER let my brothers (or anyone) spank my children even if they deserved it. I don't spank my oldest brother's two daughters; he and his wife can do that themselves. If my kids ever did anything that would warrant a spanking, they would get it from ME!!
