Does anyone recognize the church interior where Heath Ledger's character first meets the Sineater? It is supposed to be St. Peter's in Rome but I'm sure that it is not. Is it a real church or a set?

It certainly looked a lot like St. Peters outside Rome, but after that last scene, I'm betting it was a replica built by the studio. I can't see anyone being granted access to film a movie depicting a murder. The replica was VERY good though.
