America's answer to Ulrich Seidl...

The Ganz brothers are America's answer to Ulrich Seidl. Watching Sex With Strangers, the line that would recur in mind was Werner Herzog's comment about Ulrich Seidl's Animal Love-"Never have I looked so directly into hell."

Sex With Strangers has the same quality in which you can't believe it's real because of the material the camera captures as well as the camera angles. But that doesn't change the mood it creates. The only difference between this film and Ulrich Seidl's films is the photography. While Seidl is a master the Ganz brothers are mere amateurs. Despite this Sex With Strangers is forever burned into my psyche, and make me wonder if perhaps hell really does exist.

Cousin Cheryl, I don't think the family REALLY knows you.

That's a bit of an overreaction.

I still believe that peace and plenty and happiness can be worked out some way. I am a fool.
