Single most disturbing movie I've ever seen

I happened to catch this film at the Fright Night Film Fest and I have to admit this is a movie that's best watched alone. I kept squirming in my seat and looking around me to see how many people had actually stayed. I do have to say it's one of the only few films that deserves the hype. It isn't shy to push the envelope and while at times it did kinda wander into rape porn territory it didn't go there too often. After the screening was over, the director and crew gave away freebies to the people who had the stomach to stay through the whole movie.

I'm glad the director ended it the way he did because if I had to endure anymore of this woman's suffering I was gonna lose it.

If you think Scrapbook goes into "rape porn", you have something wrong with you. The rape scenes are totally horrid and certainly not erotic, they could not be defined as porn.

dude...maybe people have different opinions than you do. ever think about that? get off your high horse. sheesh.

Maybe I'm missing something, but how can "rape porn" be anything other than horrid? I mean, in what world is it not?

Literature matters only to the degree that it shapes and changes human behavior...

I dont mean to bring up an old thread needlessly, especially for a movie I havent seen, but this struck me as so ridiculous. The poor guy was just saying the movie toes the line between "grossly scary" and "grossly scary porn."

How does a scene being horrid prohibit it from being "rape porn"? Like another poster said, how could rape porn *not* be horrific? Im not saying you like rape porn, but to anyone who does, even if you claim it's "erotic rape porn," you're a sick, sad person

reply

Rape porn (this I guess, I haven't seen it)
Torture porn (Hostel, Audition, and the like)
Gun Porn (Predator, Last Man Standing, etc.)

They're just overused expressions. When a movie has a focus, especially one that can be perceived negatively, tack the word porn on it, and you have a new genre.

You saw Dingleberries?
