I noticed the Strogg had lost of human parts,torso's etc, hooked up to many different computer part. There was moaning etc going on like they were still in pain even thought there was no brain attached.

What do you guys make of this

Well, scientifically speaking things like screaming and moaning are reflexes that are taken care by the part of the Central Nervous System that's in the brain stem and spinal cord and not the brain itself. In reality though, it was probably just added for effect

The Strogg take the humans(and their remains) and cut off their legs, arms, etc. and mix them up with hi-tech computer parts to turn them into strogg.

The torso units, (as theyre called), are what the Strogg use to power sections of their base, or to make Health Stations, or to regulate the flow of stroyent. (I think the last ones right) Basically theyre just power conduits for the Strogg base.
