I guess it's not REALLY rape but isnt it still cosidered rape because the girl is underage?

sex with someone under age of consent is called statutory (sp?) rape and it is a criminal offense in most countries.

ps this movie is on TV in 2 days. doesnt start till 1am but im definetly going to stay up!

hmmm. statuatory rape is legally rape, but is not what most people mean by the word 'rape'.

Actually, Japanese law treats statutory rape differently than regular (forced) rape.

I'm squeamish and hate any sort of gore, and this film didn't bother me at all. There's nothing really gross or gratuitous in it, and it's not a horror film, it's a comedy musical - original, fun, and well-made.

Since they never give the age of the girl in the movie, it cannot be rape for sure. On top of that, the age of consent is different in Japan, so again, not clear if she is underage. But it was not forcible rape in any way, just possible statutory rape.
