what i hoped the twist would be (spoilers)

instead ofthe whole hypnosis thing, i was really hoping it would turn out that Kang committed ALL 6 of the new murders. i was thinking he would secretly be just like Shin Hyun, secretly surviving an abortion and hating women for it. think about it, we know his mother was a prostitute, and maybe she would have tried to abort Kang because of her "job." plus at various points the other cops mention how he is always late.

then we as the viewer find out that Shin Hyun knew this the whole time. during the interrogation, because of his intelligence, he can see past the "false face" that Kang presents, just like he sees Kim's internal struggles over Han's death. we would come to find out that Kang actually killed the woman in the night club and then shot the other guy he was chasing to cover up what he did (just assume in the crowded club no one saw him kill her.)

It would turn out Choi really didnt exist at all in the movie (because Kang was the only one to see him at that point, plus he mysteriously disappeared on the bus.) Kang would have been imagining him as part of his psychosis. (the movie also hinted at that almost when saying that Choi was never on a plane with Dr. Chu, although they went the "changed his name" route.)
